Today, we’re excited to announce that you can now use Qtum to invest in stocks, cryptocurrencies, commodities, ETFs, and other financial instruments on Quantfury, a trading app available for users outside the U.S and Canada. Traditionally, you’d have to fund accounts with specific fiat currencies in order to trade stocks and these forms of trading financial assets often come with all sorts of fees, some hidden and at adjusted prices. That’s no longer the case! With this collaboration, users have the option to buy stocks like Tesla (TSLA), Amazon (AMZN), or Apple (AAPL) instantly with dollar funds, using their Qtum tokens as collateral, without having to pay any commission or maker and taker fees.

Parts of Qtum’s Asian user base has typically unable to benefit from the stability of Western markets, historically. Through this integration with Quantfury, users can further expand their investment portfolios with some of the world’s most intriguing stocks. These new capabilities significantly push the retail investment experience into a new realm of possibilities, removing much of the friction that existed previously.

Quantfury offers real-time back-to-back bid and ask prices from key global exchanges, such as NASDAQ and Bitfinex, with zero fees or commissions of any kind. Instead, Quantfury makes money by investing with its own trading strategies, by machine learning of user trading data. Its easy-to-use platform and transparency provide users with access to global markets without having to sell their crypto. The app now accepts six different cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dai, and Tether.

Quantfury users can now deposit up to $1,000 USD in Qtum and trade or invest in more than 700 financial assets, including QTUM/USD pair at real-time Bitfinex prices without maker or taker fee.

Miguel Palencia, Chief Information Officer of the Qtum Foundation commented: “We’re thrilled to offer Qtum holders more frictionless ways to use their tokens. From investments to payments, our users have access to a number of powerful and cutting-edge financial tools.”

Quantfury, which already has a user base from 40+ countries with their working product, hopes the collaboration will help spread access to these unique financial service offerings to Qtum’s userbase who typically aren’t enabled to benefit from Western markets and their stability.

Qtum is committed to breaking down the barriers that impede blockchain adoption around the world. This integration is the latest example of our team’s dedication to expanding financial access and opportunity for our users.
